The first accreditation submission of the Programme was in 2006, of which the evaluation visit took place in July, 2007, and subsequent re-evaluation visits were carried out in April 2009, May 2010 and September 2011.The first two-year accreditation was received in 2010 for graduating batches of 2010 and 2011. In the latest visit in 2011, Manufacturing Engineering was awarded a two-year continuing accreditation for graduating batches of 2012 and 2013. The students who graduated in 2007, 2008, and 2009 had undergone additional (top up) courses in order to cover up the missing syllabus in the old curriculum. The reasons for this were the use of the ‘practical-oriented’ teaching-learning approach practised in UniMAP, which was not in accordance to the traditional teaching-learning approach carried out in conventional universities, and the number of semesters students spent in the campus (7 rather than 8 that the EAC required).
